Last year I posted this on my twitter and got a lot of positive feedback. “So here is a crazy idea.... What if all Americans had to successfully pass the Naturalization classes and examination given to immigrants before taking their Oath of Citizenship. Of course, I would never force anyone to take the oath, they could remain a Resident non-citizen.” Have you ever read the Oath that Naturalized Citizens take before being granted America citizen ship? Thoughts about Immigration and Guest Workers From: Mike Ryan

Below I have shared 2 short letters about immigration and guest workers from Mike Ryan, Libertarian Candidate for US House Texas Congressional District 10. Mike and I have become friends while running for the US House. I enjoy our discussions even though we do not agree on every subject. On immigration we are very close. Mike is uniquelt qualified to speak on this since he has a one generation connection to immigration of his family. I do not. My immigrant ancestors were mainly French trappers in the Canadian wilderness, thier indian wives,  Scottish traders in the North East and German Immigrant who became coal miners in Pennsylvania. My links to their lives were lost as my family migrated throughout the early US. My opinion about Texas Funding "The Wall" from 2006.....

I wrote this in 2006 when running for State Senate D17 against Kyle Janek.  FROM MY ORIGINAL BLOG: Liberty In Texas. JULY 28, 2006    First, I see the immigration situation primarily as a property rights issue. WE the people of the Texas, collectively own our state. WE relinquish authority to EO’s to run it, but WE are the stakeholders. Therefore, as a Libertarian I seek protection against other nations, or people who trespass on OUR property. This is why I applaud the Minute Men project and encourage our EO’s to use our Texas Military to Guard against this invasion. Many would say that illegals have a right to live freely, and I agree, however they do not have a right to infringe upon the rights of Texans or any other free people, by entering our State in a fraudulent manner.
